For many years, Tabea Zimmermann has been regarded as one of the most renowned musicians of our time. Audiences and fellow musicians value her charismatic personality and deep musical understanding. Arguably the finest violist in the world today, Tabea Zimmermann owes her success not only to her exceptional talent, but also to the support of her parents, thorough training by excellent teachers, and a tireless enthusiasm to communicate her understanding and love of music to her audience.

As a soloist she regularly works with the most distinguished orchestras worldwide such as the Berlin Philharmonic, Orchestre de Paris, London Symphony Orchestra, Israel Philharmonic Orchestra and the Czech Philharmonic. Following residencies in Weimar, Luxembourg, Hamburg and with the Bamberg Symphony, Tabea Zimmermann was artist-in-residence with the Ensemble Resonanz in 2013/14 and 2014/15, and continues this close collaboration this season. In the 2015/16 season, she was artist-in-residence of the Frankfurt Museums-Gesellschaft.

Special highlights of Tabea Zimmermann’s 2016/17 concert season are her concert with friends in Berlin’s Radialsystem on the occasion of her 50thbirthday in October 2016; a joint concert at Musikfest Berlin with Ensemble Resonanz; the premiere of Michael Jarrell’s Viola Concerto at Festival Musica Strasbourg with the Orchestre National des Pays de la Loire under Pascal Rophé; and subsequent performances with the Vienna Symphony under Ingo Metzmacher, the Orchestre de la Suisse Romande under Pascal Rophé and the Konzerthaus Orchestra Berlin under Mario Venzago.

Javier Perianes’ flourishing international career spans five continents, taking him to some of the world’s most prestigious halls, including Carnegie Hall in New York, the Barbican, Royal Festival and Wigmore Halls in London, the Theatre des Champs Elysees in Paris, Berlin’s Philarmonie, the Musikverein in Vienna, the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam and Suntory Hall in Tokyo. He has performed with conductors such as Barenboim, Dutoit, Mehta, Maazel, Frühbeck de Burgos, Dausgaard, Petrenko, Harding, and Temirkanov, among others, and appeared at festivals such as Lucerne, La Roque d'Anthéron, Grafenegg, San Sebastian, Granada and Ravinia. Upcoming debuts include the Philharmonia Orchestra, Münchner Philharmoniker, Los Angeles Philharmonic, Orchestre Symphonique de Montréal, Hamburger Symphoniker, Rundfunk-Sinfonieorchester Berlin and the Finnish and Swedish radio symphony orchestras. This season he returns to, among others, BBC Philharmonic Orchestra, Orchestre de Paris and Tampere Philharmonic Orchestra.Perianes has also appeared with Wiener Philhamoniker, Chicago, Boston and Atlanta symphony orchestras, Cleveland Orchestra, New York Philharmonic, Frankfurt Radio and Yomiuri Nippon symphony orchestras and London Philharmonic, Bergen Philharmonic and Tonkunstler Orchester. Recent and upcoming recitals include performances in London, Leipzig, St Petersburg, Paris, Miami, Rio de Janeiro, Montevideo, Madrid, Barcelona, Mexico City, Auckland and Hong Kong.
